At is a wonderful story of love and all of it's assumed complications. This is like four stories within a story. That made it so exciting. I loved it.
Ms. Havig again has written a novel that will stay with me long after I've finished it. Staying true to their Christian beliefs, the main characters live and love others unconditionally. There is a bit of suspense and a huge misunderstanding that brings us to the conclusion where all is revealed. I highly recommend this book.
I have read most of Chautona's books, and this is probably my favorite one!
Ruth and Richard have shared their lives together as friends and neighbors for over 10 years, but not their hearts. Each wonders why the other will not consider becoming more than friends. Their elderly neighbor Mason remembers love lost and conspires to get them together. Add in a mysterious gifter and some aggravating relatives, and you have a book that you will love reading to the last page!

If you'd like to go back to the time when a date meant a walk to the ice cream shop, but you don't know how that could play out in the modern world, then this might be the book for you.
Here's my favorite line “My dear, you were born in the wrong era…or maybe you weren’t. Maybe you were born now to be an example of the kind of grace that’s gone missing from today’s society.”
I'm not an easy sell on romance novels, but this one made me think of Jane Austen’s Persuasion, with that bittersweet sense of lost time. It also kept me wondering “Matchmakers, plural?” until the very last paragraph.
